I'm excited...(yes I'm excitable, we covered that on my facebook page.)...that Dace Everan is with me on my blog. She's a great author, and she just finished and published her book, Roark's Leading Lady! I asked her to stop by, because I decided to just make y'all work for that $50 Amazon Gift Card. You get to enter EVERY SINGLE DAY. But you have to read through the naughty excerpts that my girls come up with and answer a question...and boy does Dace deliver naughty!!!
So since the title of this blog is Sex or Chocolate, let's get that questions out of the way.
Which is it Dace? What would you give up if forced? Sex, or Chocolate?
Easy, peasy! Chocolate! I enjoy sex entirely too much! Although adding chocolate into the mix is fun
After that, I asked Dace to tell me a little bit about herself, and this is what she had to say:
I am the proud mother of two wonderful children who are soon
going to enter the tween years. AAHHH Save me! I started dabbling in
writing at a young age. My first story was a twisted story about bunny
rabbits and a little girl in a mystical forest, an evil mother who wanted
nothing more than rabbit stew. (I was eight) My older sister introduced me
to romance novels at the tender age of eleven and I've loved them since.
I find being able to create a world of wonderful
characters an amazing achievement. I had always figured historical romance was
where my heart laid, but after reading a few BDSM and erotica e-books. My mind
was changed and I have never felt so comfortable in my life than in being able
to create wonderful people and bring them together with a little spank and
tickle.
Just to make life difficult, I continued to pound her with more questions:
Why did you choose to
write erotica?
Like I said above, I enjoy sex. (J giggles.) In all seriousness I didn’t. I think
it chose me. I planned on young adult novels. But I started writing and the
next thing you know. I have this amazing story about a young woman named Dania
and two men. Whoa! Dania’s Destiny. I
wrote it, read it and the butterflies it gave me gave me the gusto to send it
out.
Describe your idea of
the perfect first date.
Oh goodness. That would be my first date with my
honey bunchers. Getting sling shot fifty feet into the air after a horrifying
tornado warning and being kept in the basement of a communiplex until the
tornado passed, while attending a local fair.
Do you fall in love
with the characters you write?
Yes, I feel like they are extensions of my own
family.
Where do you get the
ideas to develop your characters?
Oh goodness… tough question. At times it could be from
shows. Or I should say the initial thought of them would be from a show, but
once I start writing they develop their own selves.
What series do you
read and can’t wait for the next installment?
Oh goodness. I would have to say Cherise Sinclair
(Sorry Siren sisters) Shadow Land Masters. Although I have just finished Harris
Channing’s Goldie and Her Three Bears and want to read more!
Do you have a
favorite activity to recharge your batteries before you start a new project?
Work. (My day job) However I haven’t written about
some moody mechanics yet is beyond me. Or quirky lube technicians either. J
Or now that it’s coming on summer. Gardening, hanging with my kids or losing
myself in a re-read of one of my favorite authors book.
Do you ever get angry
at the characters you write?
Mmmm, gotta think about this one… Yes. Some choices
they make aren’t the best. But I suppose that is only human, right. ( J )
Most times though I cheer them on. They are amazing people who will succeed in
all they set out to do!
